The line-up has been announced for a series of live music concerts being staged in Marston Church this summer.
Launching the season on Saturday 4th June will be Greatworth’s own The Tindalls with Stuart, Paula, Sarah and Kathryn all taking to the stage.
Stuart said: “This will be very special for us as this is where Sarah and Kathryn first sang in public back in 2003. I played backing guitar and they took the lead singing “Don’t Know Why” to what we thought was going to be a small audience. Turned out to be a Church full!”
Josienne Clarke & Ben Walker, winners of the Best Duo at the 2015 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, perform on Saturday 2nd July. The pair have just been signed by Rough Trade Records and have a new EP just out.
Spiro, an acclaimed 4-piece instrumental band, who are nominated for a BBC Radio 2 Folk Award for ‘best original track,’ appear on Saturday 6th August. All concerts start at 7.30pm, doors open at 6.30pm.
Tickets are on sale – www.ticketsource.co.uk/marstonconcerts – and those booking online can also make a donation to the continuing upkeep of the church, which is a Grade 1 listed building.
Or you can call the Box Office on 01295 713652.
